Not really.  IBM has their hands in every part of the computing business.

TCPA doesn't do anything regarding Linux or open source.

Palladium and the lengths Microsoft may be takign it does hurt open source
applications, but only runnign on Windows.

So, it might eb a situation where MS shoots themselves in the foot.

They very well may drive away customers with the copyright security and lock
out of uncertified applications.
