As I see it, he has an RPG program on the AS/400 that shows a screen. If he changed the RPG program to produce (and later on, consume) an ML description of said screen, then he could send that XML to be rendered via XLS with a browser. Now, that is not his problem. His problem is that he also wants that very same XML description be sent to a program also on the AS/400) that produces a 5250 user defined datastream to be rendered by 5250 hardware (or emulator). No TL, no CGI, no Apache, none of all this weird stuff. right Jon? or didn't I get it either?
