yes.  right now lan console requires a dedicated ethernet card.

technically you do not need an extra card.  you could use the IXS ethernet
for iSeries lan traffic.  There is only one problem with that setup... If
the ixs must reboot then you would lose iSeries connectivity.  but hey you
*never* need to reboot a windows server........

Follow-on question:  I have 2 NICs in our iSeries.  One is in use by the
IXS, the other by the iSeries.  Do I need a another NIC for the LAN
console?
