But 7 takes (potentially) significantly longer to crack than 6 or less, which is
*very* fast on any modern PC using the program previously mentioned -- if you
have the knowledge and information to use it.

However, if they have that information even using 7 - 10 characters is still
fast enough to crack to not be worth much of an obstacle from a security
standpoint.
