I would also suggest you attempt to exclusively allocate the object before performing the RGZPFM command. This type of lock is required by RGZPFM and if you have very long file wait times, it could be hours before the MONMSG is executed. I usually execute ALCOBJ OBJ((<object name> *EXCL)) WAIT(1), which will attempt the allocation and only wait one second before terminating. A MONMSG after this command can be used to determine success. After executing your RGZPFM command, then DLCOBJ OBJ((<object name> *EXCL)). Hope that helps. Donald R.
