Re: Upgrade - V4R3 to V5R1 (or V5R2?)

Interesting thought.  Would I simply re-load from an entire system save
by IPL'ing from tape (as Joe is trying to do)?

I am not totally sure of this idea because we have the same old version
of our ERP package on both systems, and while we are licensed properly I
don't want to have to get license keys again as we are not currently on
support.

If the 620 is really a backup box the I would just scratch load it from
the
820.

Greetings!

When I started here I inherited a 620 on V4R3 that was production, and
a 3 month old 820 with V5R1 that was to become production.  I quickly
implemented the 820 to production, and we have moved the 620 to
another
facility to become a backup box.

Can any of you help me to figure out what is necessary to get the 620
to V5R1, or to V5R2 if that makes more sense?  For some reason I
recall
that I have to get to V4R5 first.

Any comments would be appreciated.
