In Windows 98, if you went to Settings, Control Panel, Passwords, there was a button to "Change Other Passwords" which would list Novell any AS/400's installed. Also, if you changed Windows password, you'd get a dialog asking if you wanted to change your password on other systems as well. This seems to have disappeared in Windows 2000. With Notes5, you can choose to install a password synchronization SERVICE that will change your WIN password whenever you change your NOTES password (assuming they are already in sync). Maybe there's a service program that you can install from the CA installation media to pull that off? (Don't know... I don't have the CA disc handy, and we run NetSoft's solution anyway.) BTW: That Notes5 service doesn't seem to be available for XP (surprise, surprise). I miss it. :( HTH Dennis "Tyler, Matt" <mattt@wincofoods.com>@midrange.com on 01/21/2003 10:34:57 AM Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@midrange.com To: "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@midrange.com> cc: Subject: RE: Changing multiple passwords Well if you can tell me how that was done, I might try it out. I have never been able to do that at my location. I even made sure they made both user names the same. I know that all Windows passwords are changed at one time for a user in a domain. Can this be done in Windows 2000? I can't seem to find an easy way to keep multiple AS/400 passwords in sync. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
