Well, gee, Rob

If you stayed on old, proven, reliable releases of the operating system like V4Rx instead of rushing to the latest and greatest then you might avoid these problems. A couple of years after everything is nailed down and the OS is rock solid you could upgrade.... ;)

Gee, we're all seeming to get a lot of these jobs from he!! that won't end
lately, aren't we?  The weekend of the 10th I had one that would only end
with a manual push of the white button on the system box.

Oh well, standard iSeries answer for a hung job - IPL.
