I went to AIM and registered. Then I opened up Sametime and told it to
long onto AOL Instant Messenger, and it did. Now, how do I tell it to go
to this chat room?

I thought I'd play with this. I clicked on the online chat at
midrange.com and I got
aim:gochat?roomname=midrangedotcom&exchange=5
Page cannot be found.
I deduced that aim is a special link that your computer will recognize
after you download AOL IM. Boss won't let me use that, but, Sametime does
have a tab on it's setup called "AOL Instant Messenger Connectivity". On
it, prefilled is
Host - login.oscal.aol.com
Port - 5190
Must I go to aol.com somewhere and register?

Subject: *** ADMIN: website improvements
Folks:
I had some spare time so I played around with the websites a bit.
1. Online store has been completely redone. Now using amazon.com
webservices to retrieve information. Please visit
http://store.midrange.com and let me know what you think. This is very
much a work in progress, so comments are appreciated.
2. A while ago I played around with trying to create an online chat for
midrange.com via IRC. It failed pretty miserably. I'm trying again, but
this time with AOL's AIM service. Visit http://www.midrange.com and click
on the Chat link.
