I went to AIM and registered. Then I opened up Sametime and told it to long onto AOL Instant Messenger, and it did. Now, how do I tell it to go to this chat room? I clicked on the online chat at midrange.com and I got aim:gochat?roomname=midrangedotcom&exchange=5 Page cannot be found. I deduced that aim is a special link that your computer will recognize after you download AOL IM. Boss won't let me use that, but, Sametime does have a tab on it's setup called "AOL Instant Messenger Connectivity". On it, prefilled is Host - login.oscal.aol.com Port - 5190 Must I go to aol.com somewhere and register? Online store has been completely redone. Now using amazon.com webservices to retrieve information. Please visit http://store.midrange.com and let me know what you think. This is very much a work in progress, so comments are appreciated. 2. A while ago I played around with trying to create an online chat for midrange.com via IRC. It failed pretty miserably. I'm trying again, but this time with AOL's AIM service. Visit http://www.midrange.com and click on the Chat link. david -- | Internet: david@midrange.com | WWW: http://david.fallingrock.net | AIM: MidrangeMan | | We're not in the middle of nowhere... | we're on the outskirts of everywhere! | - DMRoth (adapted) _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
