Exactly.  Or, if all those damn quote marks make you blind (as they do me),
I stuff 'em into variables.

DCL VAR(&QT) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(1) VALUE(x'7D')

That way, you can just concatinate the quote character directly into a
variable:

ORIGORG = &QT *cat &A5 *cat &QT

Which has saved me a LOT of heartache, counting those stupid freaking
quotes.
