I purchased the book "The iSeries & AS/400 Programmer's Guide to Cool Things" and found something that allowed me to have our SMTP server on our iSeries point to our Outlook accounts, which were on a different email server. The end result was we could use SNDDST and it looked like the emails were coming from our Outlook accounts. I created a TCP/IP Host Table with the proper IP address, and server name of our mail server. I changed the SMTP server on the 400 to point to the Host Table I created. I changed directory entries of our users to use our email accounts at our outlook domain name, which is automaticproducts.com. Everything worked wonderfully until we upgraded our email server and the IP address changed, and so did the server name. I created a new TCP/IP host table with the new information, but now it doesn't work. Whenever I use SNDDST it appears to send fine, but the recipients are not receiving the emails. Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong? Better yet has anyone ever had to redirect the SMTP server on their iSeries to a new email server? Any help would be appreciated.
