Jim, Could you add some detail? You say that the system is dropping connections (could be a network issue) but you also say that the console was dead. How is the console attached? I'm assuming that it is a serial cable directly attached to the AS/400. Is there any common network connection which would affect all devices? Including the console? Are all devices TCP/IP attached or is there also twinax? If twinax, does that continue to function? It sounds as though you've looked in the obvious places. If a session is attached when the system drops, is there a log entry that the session ended? How is disk capacity doing? Where is the ASP threshold set? What is the processor light doing when the devices are dropped?
