Hi, Eric:

Is that RPG? I don't know the %CHAR function, but if it's RPG, you can
simply MOVE the numeric field to a 2-byte character field, producing the
results you named.

        Subject: %char numeric conversion

I am trying to convert a numeric field (2,0) to character using %char. If
the number is 01, the returned character is '1'. Any ideas on how to get
the returned character to '01'?
