I would suspect you have a ptf issue, where the problem had been solved on the earlier machine, whether by cume, or the tcp printing ptf's, and the new machine does not have them. How was the 170 base OS loaded? I have seen problems where a BP is loading from a set of "all products" that was different then what IBM was shipping with new machines. We had to load cume (and cume had several pre-req's that we had to go and get individually and apply, thru multiple ipl's). (This was trying to solve http problems, not printing, but it showed us that what a machine is loaded up with is very important). IBM Knowledge Base has doc on V5RxMx PTF Listing for HPT Printing hth jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: <rob@dekko.com> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, January 13, 2003 3:27 PM Subject: Re: 24x80 size issue > You need various IFS folders where is this data is stored. > > Rob Berendt > -- > "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary > safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." > Benjamin Franklin > > > > > "Anthony Hardy" <mis@jdcc.edu> > Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@midrange.com > 01/13/2003 02:04 PM > Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion > > To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" > <midrange-l@midrange.com> > cc: > Fax to: > Subject: Re: 24x80 size issue > > > Copied user libraries and did backup of sec data and restored to new > machine.
