Debbie,

We are running SAP R/3 on iSeries. Our production environment consists of 3
iSeries servers. The database server is an 8-way 730 and the application
servers are a 12-way SB1 and 2 processors LPARed from a 4-way 830. The
other 2 processors of the 830 run our development and QA environments. We
may consolidate all of our R/3 systems on to a single 890. We chose iSeries
over wintel or Unix because of our existing expertise and the reliability
and scalability of the platform. You might find the following links useful.

Is anyone running SAP native on an iSeries? Did you compare the server vs.
native SAP on an iSeries? Is anyone running SAP at all? Any information
will be helpful. The plan is to run SAP on an INTEL server and remove the
iSeries. I'm not making the decision and I know the best decision will be
made...I just need information.
