I have read about this feature as a tip in News/400 a couple of times - and
besides that the only IBM documentation I've seen is in the help text for
RTVOBJD:

Maybe IBM should consider adding this information to the help text for
CHGCMDDFT as well - or to one of the security manuals, if they specifically
want to hide this "audit trail" from the people actually changing command
defaults...
