I don't see that message at V3R7. It's apparently a bracketing message,
along with CPI434A, which marks the beginning of debug messages that
describe the SQL implementation.

There could be an entry in a QAQQINI file, MESSAGES_DEBUG *YES, that would
generate this set of messages.

Collecting these messages is a performance inhibitor - you might want to
shut it off, in order to have queries run faster in production.

This site, which has an online generator for QAQQINI, might be interesting
<http://www-919.ibm.com/developer/bi/tuner/index.html>. I found I had to
take out the initial CRTDUPOBJ statement - it fails for some reason I'm not
taking the time to determine.

The QAQQINI file to use is set with the CHGQRYA command. We sometimes
create one in QTEMP and put the values in it we want to test.

Hello, and welcome back, Midrangers:

Vernon, I hope you enjoyed the coal that was sent as a stocking stuffer for
you, and that the installation over the holidays went well for you.

Since going to V5R1, we have been seeing the message CPI434B in our joblogs
for programs that use the SEQUEL product and Imbedded SQL programs. It
doesn't appear to generate a problem but I'm not used to seeing such a
message when outside of DEBUG mode.

Is this a PTF'd item, or something we should talk to IBM about, or should
we just live with it? (That last answer sounds wrong to me but....) I
thought I'd ask here, to gain the benefit of your experiences. Archives
had no hit for CPI434B.

Thanks.
