-- -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] well, joe, i sure wish it was required that folks that move away from the AS/400 provide us with a status report after 180 days. Chances are that few of the same people are on board, but it'd be nice to hear the results and current head counts in the departments that have moved on. The few changeovers I have seen always have less function, more head count, and few (if any) of the people that know what it used to be like. The reports are always grand because they have nothing to compare to. --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@MartinVT.com --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: midrange-l@midrange.com Date: Monday, December 23, 2002 15:11:43 To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: Migrating from AS/400 to MicroFocus By the way, I'm glad people were able to offer some help! I'm sorry Brad's company thinks it's a good decision to move off an AS/400 to a PC running MicroFocus, but I hope he finds help. I still think he needs to do some additional project planning, though. If data migration was left out, I have a funny feeling test scripts and parallel processing and cutover might have been left out too. Just a thought. So flame me <smile>. -- [ IMSTP.gif of type image/gif deleted ] --
