Hi,
We're using the AS/400 as our email server. On previous OS versions (prior
to V5R2), I could go into the user's email directory and clean up "hung"
messages. I have to do this on occasion when some piece of mail (usually
junk) would cause the user's email account to get a tcp/ip error trying to
bring down email messages.

Now, I can't read the content of the user's mail directory. It's all
special characters, where it used to be readable, not formatted, but
readable enough to tell if it's junk or real mail.

Any ideas what is causing this or what changed? How can I read the
messages, at least enough to clean out junk and make the user's email client
able to download the email?

TIA
