We have a java application from a vendor not at all familiar with the AS/400. What they have given us is a CD with a whole bunch of jar files they say to put in our jre/lib/ext directory, and files there to be copied into the appropriate jre/lib/security folder. Finally, there is a batch file that calls the java command with the appropriate classpath and run parameters. They say this will have to be rewritten as a start script for "your appropriate O/S". This application is ultimately to transfer encrypted files over https. I don't even see what's going to start the instance of http they'll need, unless that's what they mean by a start script (which I have no real experience with). I can see that the batch files does some sort of checking for the default version of Java - this app needs 1.3, which we have installed, but I'm not sure if it's the default (or if making it the default will impact other applications). Can anyone help translate this? Jeff Carey
