There is a file on the system, QADBXREF (IIRC), that contains all the
information that you want. It is REALTIME! Test it! We found it
beneficial insofar as Restores or DRP is concerned. Include it in your
backups and you are assured that you will not need to do multiple
restores in order to recover all dependents based on their dependants!

There is systems management, and then there is Management! If you cannot
get them to adhere to this 'simple' standard (which is easily
identifiable), how sure are you that they are adhering to your
programming standards and not hiding cr@p code in their programs?
