Troy,

You've met one of the most debated and controversial elements of os400, the
"Interactive threshold governor". Actually, CFINTxx jobs are interrupt
handlers and are critical tasks in OS400. They have been adapted (in
various ways) to penalize performance on SOME AS/400s (iSeries) boxes that
are over-utilized for interactive processing.

For more details, you'll need to provide more information. What system
(model, # CPU) OS version (V4Rx, V5), # interactive users, etc.......

Subject: CFINT01

Hi all
I am using the command WRKSYSACT with F19 for automatic
updates and I have a task/job that runs and takes up CPU
utilization, it has no job number, user or anything else
to show what it is. The task in question is CFINT01. Does
anyone know what this is and why it is taking up cpu
usage. It always stays in the top 8 of the list. Any help
will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Troy
