You can not delete or add fields or make any change that will change the io
buffer. You need to search the FAQ's or archives at midrange.com to find
out how to modify QDSIGNON

If you have FTP running, use it to run a remote command here is the format
of one command that might work

quote rcmd DLTF FILE(MYQSYS/QDSIGNON)

You need to make sure this meets your needs before you attempt it.

This is a serious issue and a prompt reply by anyone would be greatly
appreciated.

Here is my problem....

I customized the AS400 default signon screen (File QDSIGNON). I then
compiled it into my AS400's custom QSYS library called MYQSYS. I placed
library MYQSYS above QSYS in the system library list value. I got a clean
compile of my custom QDSIGNON. I then did an IPL on the AS400. Once the
IPL had finished I was shown the NEW custom QDSIGNON screen. The only
input capable fields I have on this signon screen is the USER and PASSWORD
fields. As soon as I enter the user name and password, i get the the
message CPF1133 "Name is not valid".

It does not liek any user or password I put in, doe anyone know how i can
just get into the AS400 so that I can put the IBM supplied signon back
into effect?

Thanks,

Ash.
