A little bit of background is perhaps in order. COOL: Xtras CM is actually an enhanced version of Implementer that provides all the support for traditional development while also providing support for COOL: 2E model-based application development. The portion that provides the COOL: 2E integration is actually co-developed by MKS and Computer Associates (CA). Both MKS and CA offer support and sell COOL: Xtras CM. These products were recently rebranded by CA. The new name of "COOL: 2E" is "Advantage 2E". The new name for "COOL: Xtras CM" is "Advantage 2E Change Management Option" or "Advantage 2E CM" when we have to fit the product name on a screen, message, or I get lazy typing. So much for the branding police and clarications. The good news is that we have a change that will be released soon that will optionally eliminate the need to call this assembler program and hence eliminate the audit journal violations. The patch is planned for Advantage CM 8.0 (the currently available GA version). On a case by case basis we make patches available for previous releases, but CM 6.2 is a ways back. For a variety of reasons I would encourage you to move to the latest release of Advantage 2E CM. If you are not planning on moving to the latest version of Advantage 2E, you can move up to just Advantage 2E Change Management Option 8.0 as it is also compatible with earlier versions of Advantage 2E, including 6.2. This is a bit of a mouthful and I hope this is clear. If not, feel free to contact me at macks@mks.com for further clarification. Marty Acks
