(CISC server models), the system would have returned 9402, but if fact
this
system would be "coded" in IBM's records as a 9404.

Here is a "C" program that returns this type of info:

Model 9402, Type  40S-2110, PRC Group  P05, SN# 10-xxxxx  , OS is at
V5R1M0.
