The command is "shutdown -f" but take a look at the man page to understand
what it does.

Subject: OT - Shutting down an RS/6000 ?

Hi Folks,

This is REALLY off topic but I'm in a jam. We acquired a company that has an
RS/6000. We have migrated them to our AS/400 but they are still using this
RS/6000 for historical lookups, etc. and will until early next year. They
want to move it to another office. I can handle all of that, EXCEPT - how do
you shut an RS/6000 down ? PWRDWNSYS *IMMED ? :-)

Thanks,

Chuck
