When the Ops Nav initiative was started,
Windows affinity was what we all wanted(what we asked IBM).

Does anyone remember Project San Francisco?

It was written in C++ I believe to be a Windows App.

Somewhere thru the 2nd or 3rd generation of enhancements

WHAM - Java happened.

Well 95% of the code base and the direction of the project was
targeting Windows Fat Client.

I believe new stuff will be in Java, However it will take a while before
they convert over the tons of code that they do have to Java.

That is the SOD for all new stuff.

That is what I know of it.

So, Yes, they are aware of it, Yes, they are changing.

Just checking,

but did not IBM release the code for eclipse that runs identically on both
Linux ( KDE and GNOME ) and windows by writing the screen widgets in C++
(?). Why is it then so difficult to port the OpsNav into such an
environment. I hate it to see "economics" driving this situation.
