the point is that you only have that high authority for a very brief
period thus limiting potential damage and exposure. I'm making
the assumption that what the vendor wants to do CAN'T be done
without the extra authority, so there is really no discussion needed
about why and if he should do this.
Don't you see that it is better to be "high" only for a brief period
rather than all the time?
