You might want to make sure that you use "binary" mode to make sure FTP
doesn't change the file.

from your PC's command prompt:

        cd \path\to\certificate
        ftp myas400
        (type user & password)
        ftp> quote site namefmt 1
        ftp> cd /somewhere/in/ifs
        ftp> binary
        ftp> put certificate.file.name
        ftp> quit

Then, in the DCM you give it the /somewhere/in/ifs/certificate.file.name
