Shrinath, A couple of comments and a couple of questions: You're moving from Synon to RPGLE - Did you know that Synon at release 7 or higher can (optionally) generate RPGLE? Why recode by hand when the Action Diagram can be your friend? Whether you are coding RPGLE yourself or using Synon, whenever you change keys, increase/decrease field sizes, etc. you have rework to do. While it is certainly easier in Synon to make these changes and to revisit the affected functions, rework is still needed in most cases. What do you mean when you say "We have a task on hand for which we need to change the external functions generated by Synon accordingly. By generating the Synon code (Action Diagrams), we are trying to modify the RPG programs." I don't udnerstand.
