Answering my own question:

PTF SI05178 (APAR SE06492) and SI05375 (APAR SE06893) seem to be exact
hits for this problem.

My customers who just installed V5R2 are going to give this a whirl.
I'll let you know. Just in case somebody else hits this problem....it
will be in the archives.

Subject: V5R2 job user name on CPYSPLF and other xxxSPLF commands

All,

OS/400 V5R2 with cume from last week (not sure of exact cume number)
seems to have broken the xxxSPLF commands.

Always in the past, when doing any of the DSP/CPY/HLD/RLS spoolfile
commands, you could specify the Job Name and Job Number along with the
Spool File number and it would work.

At V5R2, you must also specify Job User or you will get a "Job Not
Found" error.

Does anybody know of a PTF to fix this?
