I think they're doing the right thing... Taking care of the customer, not trying to piece together parts to patch up your old system.. Leaving you with potential lingering problems and many outages to resolve.. The 890's an expensive box.. But IBM's got a lot of profit in it.. They can afford to replace these flukes that happen.. And for the price you paid, I'm glad to see them doing it.. The only negative I can see is how long and how much arm twisting it may have taken you to get them to act. Hopefully it was their decision, and quickly made.
