Are you sure it's a 2768?? The 2749 is the one used for 3570.

Also The PCI tape adapters ONLY SUPPORT 1 DRIVE at a time... unless its like a
3570 with dual drives. You can't even do 2 7208-345's back to back.

Subject: V5R1, MagStar 3570, F/C 2768 - it ain't workin'

We recently upgraded from a V4R5 box to a V5R2 box. We have a MagStar 3570,
which worked well on our V4R5 system. I'm trying to get it to work on our new
V5R2 system, but all is not going well.

We also have a 7208-345 tape drive which is working. If I plug the cable from
the 3570 into the bottom connector of the 7208, the 7208 stops working. If I
unplug the 7208 from the card in the back of the computer (feature code 2768)
and plug the 3570 into it instead, the system will not auto config it (I
checked, QAUTOCFG = 1). The 7208 is set to address 0, the 3570 is set to
address 1.

What do I need to do to get the MagStar 3570 to work on our new system?
