Greetings, Simon. At this point, it's a convenience for a couple of
geographically-challenged consultants requiring quick access to my iSeries
application. I'd like to avoid them having to download CAE (+ service pack,
of course) but it may come to that. Not knowing the location of numeric
fields (the "CS" attribute is my application standard for numerics) won't
help them in the "ease of use" department.

I don't expect much for $25 but are column separators too much to ask for?
ENTFLDATR isn't important for this evaluation; it doesn't work for
DSPATR(UL) either and DSPATR(CS) doesn't show without ENTFLDATR. I've used
MochaSoft before and I don't remember loosing column separators; I must be
having a senior moment.

My application will displace this customer's two client/server applications
and one Internet ASP application. They'll be underwhelmed by the flashy
MochaSoft interface...

Regards,
Reeve

Hello Reeve,

ENTFLDATR is a 5250 GUI extension. The Mochasoft emulator (like most
emulators)
does not support any of the 5250 GUI extensions (on the grounds that nobody
uses
them -- but if the emulators supported them then more programmers would use
them).

>I've tried a straight DSPATR(CS); no joy.

I would expect that to work in most emulators but then Mochasoft is only
$25.
What do you expect for almost nothing?

>Is this a characteristic of this emulator or have I missed something?

Yes and sort of.

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
