Sorry for the lack of info or the "next to useless info" but that seemed all that was necessary in the context that I offered it to Chris. On a different subject, is there some problem with replying within an established thread, seems like I get messages that appear to have the same subject but create a new group in Outlook! Am I doing something else wrong here? -----Original Message----- From: Simon Coulter [mailto:shc@flybynight.com.au] Sent: Wednesday, September 18, 2002 3:06 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: Multi threading Data Queues Hello Howard, You wrote: >Message 'CPF3C36' in program object 'TESTDATAQR' in library 'HGR0093' (C D F >G >Number of parameters, 7, entered for this API was not valid. If you read the second level help of this message by putting the cursor on it and pressing F1 you would see how many parameters you have to specify. Checking the API documentation would make it apparent that you must specify either 5 parameters, 10 parameters, or 13 parameters. Nothing else will do. Also, showing us the message description from DSPMSGD is next to useless because it omits the substitution data that tells you what to do to fix the problem. There is a technical writer sitting in Rochester crying quietly to herself thinking "Why do I bother".
