You've been given lots of good uses for random number generation, but not
the most common one that I have encountered in the last two years.  Many
people suddenly need to generate random numbers because new legislation
obliges them to perform random drug tests on drivers, heavy machinery
operators, etc.  If your state hasn't imposed such legislation yet (and/or
your companies insurance company haven't insisted on it) - just wait - they
will.
