Anne, I know this is probably a sensitive subject but with the advent of the i890 and subsequent machines I was wondering if a chat regarding Benchmarks might be a good thing. There is a plethora of benchmarks and many of us have heard John Quarentello, Frank Soltis, Richard Odell, etc. reference a benchmark at some point in time via a chat, COMMON, or IBM roadshow. I think it would be cool to have a benchmark chat. Let's show where iSeries does well, doesn't maybe do so well, etc. SPECint, TPC-C, Notes, Java, SAP, JDE, etc. Let's see them all and have a nice discussion on them. It helps reinforce the strength of the machine and allows BP's and customers a basis and information to discuss other vendors and their benchmarks......... Any way. Food for thought I hope.
