IFS security?

Hi all,
I'm currently implementing an interface to a NT network-based software
package.  The interface will simply be to create a data file on the AS400
and use CPYTOIMPF to copy the file to an IFS folder.  The pc software will
"import" this file.

My concern is:  The PC import function will run every hour and check the
folder for a file.  If found, it will do the import.  I'm concerned about
the security.  Will the AS/400 let this happen? or will it ask for someone
to sign on?

Any suggestions on how to set this up?
