Jim,

I'm assuming that your Ops Console is connected to a communications port
and that you didn't shift cables in order to connect with ECS.  ECS and
the Ops Console should use distinctly different cables and should be
attached to different ports.

I'm hoping that an IPL reset your resources correctly.  (Did it?)  It's
certainly possible for ECS and Ops Console to be connected to the same
two-port communications card, in which case messing with the base
resources (at a hardware level) for one, might affect the other.  If you
just changed the resource name on the QESLINE line description, I think
that you're a victim of coincidence and the two events are not related.
