Noticed something today that has me confused. I transferred a database file to my PC via C/A and then looked at the file with Notepad. The last record in my PC file has a small box that appears to be some "end of file" marker or something. If I turn around and FTP the file back to the 400 now (right back into the same file I just downloaded), it get an empty record in my 400 file. If I use FTP to bring the file down to the PC, I don't get the marker. I would rather use C/A transfer (because I have to put this in a user's hands and it is dummy-proof) but that marker is causing the people we are sending the file to have a similar problem with getting an "empty" record on their end. Any ideas anybody? Is it a C/A "problem" because I can't find any settings in file transfer that would prevent it... *************************************** Sannan Solberg, Programmer/Analyst Washington Corporations (406) 523-1392 ssolberg@washcorp.com (406) 523-1636 fax http://www.washcorp.com
