Calling IBM was the solution. I had a corrupt DBXREF file/data someplace.
And the last thing I did before letting the system back into production
Monday after the release upgrade was to run a reclaim storage *ALL.

IBM had me do the following:

Get the machine to a restricted state:

CALL QTQRECOV
RCLSTG *DBXREF
IPL the system

By doing the above steps, that fixed my problem.

The time it took to run the two steps was about 5 minutes. The reclaim
storage *ALL took a little over a hour Monday afternoon on my 820 so less
than 5 minutes for both steps yesterday was great.

At least my system is working doing file transfers again & accounting can
get off my back & finish month end. Nag, nag, nag.

Thanks - Dennis.
