Subject: Management Central Trouble.

Checked Archives, found a similar post with no response(archive post copied
below). Does anyone have a workaround to this? I have spent far too many
hours to simply try and get Mgmt Central started, let alone attempt to get
performance stats on this. Brian, did you solve this? I have attached a
pdf of the joblog for reference
(http://www.midtel.net/~rick/MgmtCentralError.pdf)

if it helps any. TIA

Rick

Hi.
I cleared my ASP and installed V5R1, and have noticed a few bothersome
things. First and foremost, the network performance is abysmal.
Installing CA/400 V5R1 over the network should have taken a few minutes
on my 100Mbps LAN, but took ~50 minutes to transfer. Possibly I've
messed up the line description; if there are known problems with V5R1
ELAN connectivity, I'd like to know before I reexamine the line
description config.

Secondly, Management Central suffers a horrendous failure upon startup,
complaining that the "Static initialization of class
com.ibm.mc.client.McEnvironment" has failed. I've been trying to fix it
mainly because it doesn't work, not because of any actual need -- I
think.

Of course, detailed descriptions and joblogs are needed for real
troubleshooting, but I'm wondering if perhaps these problems are well
known. Words of wisdom are appreciated. TIA.

brian.
