i have "not" had fun with Attachmate thin client. Ask the vendor's who's telnet they use? One customer bought a couple diff brands, some were using an older version of Powerterm (before they fixed some of their bugs!). Since it's hardwired (no disk) they had no way to update. You want some sort of up to date telnet (ask the version level). Named devices like CA has. Fully functional tn5250 printing? with lot's of printer product choices. Some can actually load Client Access on a Citrix server and use that. I have found printing, especially the both win and tn5250 printing the biggest headache. Simple things like "default printer" session (same device name) are not always there. hth jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil Palmer" <neilp@dpslink.com> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, August 22, 2002 8:10 PM Subject: Thin Client recommendations > Anyone care to recommend Think Clients (both character based "Ethernet > terminals" and also graphical/Windows based models) that they have had a > pleasant experience with installing, using & supporting ? > I've been looking at models from Computer Lab, I-O, and NLynx. > > ...Neil > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. > >
