Hi group, something really strange just happened on our system: We have a CL program with the following statements: PGM /* Clear workfiles */ CLRPFM FILE(WFAVCT) CLRPFM FILE(WFITDV) /* Start new journal receiver */ CHGJRN JRN(HSADLIBT/QSQJRN) JRNRCV(*GEN) /* Corrections */ CALL PGM(UPDFLOAT1) ... ENDPGM In our program UPDFLOAT, we do updates to a file that is journaled to HSADLIBT/QSQJRN, which we can see if we do updates manually, for instance with SQL. When we run our little program, nothing is logged in the journal, though. Suspecting that there was a delay somewhere, we added a DLYJOB DLY(5) after the CHGJRN command, and much to our surprise, every update was now logged. The online help of CHGJRN clearly states that "The newly-attached journal receiver begins receiving journal entries for the journal immediately." Has anybody experienced such behaviour? Thanks for any input you can give.
