Hoping someone can help here.

I'm the IS Manager of a very small IS department. I have a great guy
developing applications with MS SQL Server, Visual Basic and Access.
Much of this information resides on our AS/400 utilizing Infinium
software. Looking to reduce redundancy, etc. Looking at MS Host
Integration as well as CAE Toolbox offerings.

Ran through CAE Toolbox setup and running into problems with "great guy"
accessing info on AS/400. He has profile setup on AS/400 with job
description set to have ACTIVEXSDK as part of initial library load. He
tries to access data from VB and receives errors ... here's his take on
the errors. Any and all help appreciated.

"We are using a VB application utilizing ADO with the IBMDA400 Provider
to
connect to and run SQL statements against Tables on the AS400.

Within the application we are able to connect to our AS400 system and
can
add the sample (ACTIVEXSDK)
Library and associated Tables to our VB application using the DA400
Links
Wizard. When we try to access the records in the table we receive the
following error:

Run Time Error -2147467259 (80004005)
CWBZZ5010
Communication error occurred with the system _______.

The command which causes this error is:

rs_ACTIVEXSDK_CUSTOMER.Open
"/QSYS.LIB/ACTIVEXSDK.LIB/CUSTOMER.FILE(*FIRST,
*NONE)", cnQATLRISC, adOpenDynamic, adLockOptimistic, adCmdTableDirect

In the OpenLinks() '{{DA400_TABLE_OPENS_BEGIN}} module of the
DA400Links
module."
