Will your exchange server accept incoming mail from the AS400? Some exchange administrators do reverse DNS lookups before accepting mail. Is every thing set up correctly in SNADS? Is your AS400 thinking it is local mail and trying to distribute to a local mail user? I will try to think of more if one of these are not the problem. One thing to try is to telnet into your exchange server from an AS400 session using port 25. Telnet rmtsys(exchange server full qualified domain name) port(25) HELO my.as400.domain.name mail from: your.email@address rcpt to: exchange.email@address data subject:test from as400 This is a test message . quit The "." on a line by itself is necessary to end the data command. You will not be able to back space so type slowly and carefully or script it. You will get various messages back from the exchange server that might give you insight into what is going on. Also check to see if the SMTP server is running on your AS400. Christopher K.
