Which version of Office are you running?

I've found that Office2000 and OfficeXP Excel happily reads CSV files
without prompting. It may be that all the CSV files I generate have a
"header row".

Both of these are good ideas, but I don't see how I can make either happen
without manual intervention.

Unfortunately, CPYTOIMPF does not exist on our system and a CSV type format
would not support the requirements.  The file will eventually be distributed
via e-mail (that's the next trick) to various users who will double click on
the file to activate Excel and display the it.  A CSV format would cause
them to confirm the mapping before the file is opened.
