At the same time, there are servers more vulnerable and less vulnerable to
malicious attacks.  Maybe it's just perception, but then again I've never
heard of a successful buffer overrun attack on the IBM HTTP server.

IIS is seen, whether rightly or wrongly, as a very vulnerable server.  Thank
Gartner for that.  Or thank Microsoft.  Or the hacker community.
