The first thing I have to ask is this;
Did you compile the dds-prtf as *AFPDS,
I could be off, I remember for sure the
print file for the BOX to work needs to be
afpds, not just ipds, but I believe is does
need to be this for barcode also.

I have to ask the other question too:
Is your HP set-up with a IPDS emulation card/box?
Do you have PSF/400 installed on your AS/400?
Also on your printer definition, the IMGCFG parm
should be set to: *IMGC04 : and play with that,
depending on your application, you may need
one of the other formats.

When I try to print spoolfiles with barcodes, the printer goes nuts. It
prints one line of garbage at the top of the page and then prints out blank
pages until the paper tray is empty.
My operating system is V4R5.

I've tried looking in IBM's manuals and redbooks, but I can't find any
