In our company , we have 1 mainframe and 3 AS400s. Earleir , all the
modules were running on these machines.
With SAP coming which runs here on RS6000, only a few modules run on
mainframe and AS400 now. These modules cannot be developed in SAP.

Cant keep mainframe coz of high cost .
Sun talks about rehosting all the CICS programs on its SunFIRE servers
while IBM is quiet about rehosting mainframe applications on RS6000 or
AS400.

Will like to know how much effort and time is reqd in migrating Mainframe
applications to SUN.
We have CICS cobol,CSP and DB2 on mainframe. What will happen to CSP
programs?
Can migration be done on the AS400 ?
Anyone having an experience of migrating mainframe applications to AS400,
Plz do reply.
By the way ,for the people running LPAR on AS400 , how is the box
performing ?

Regards
Santosh.
